Ndambi began dancing at the age of 2. Although she is trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and African dance, there is nothing she loves more than Congolese dance. During her elementary and middle school ages she joined the Maikot Dance Troupe, a West African dance group. She later joined the Dance workshop and the Detroit All-City Dance Company during high school. She was also apart of the youth dance and stepping group at her church. Ndambi joined the Bichini Bia Congo Dance Company after one semester of dance class with Biza Sompa in 1999. After receiving a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Masters degree in Social Work with a concentration of Marriage & Family Therapy from Wayne State University, Ndambi is now a School Social Worker. She plans to pursue a career in government as a therapist as well as continue to pursue a degree in Sign Language Studies which will further allow her the opportunity to continue working with the Deaf Community as profficient Interpreter.
